The workshop!

Constand destruction of natural habitat is one of the main threats for bats, and other animals.

During this event we will learn about bats and what we could do to help them and have fun at the same time.

This workshop is kid-friendly; children should be 5 or older and must be accompanied by an adult.

This workshop will be divided in two sections:

  • The first 30 min one of our bat experts will give a small talk about bats, bat's myths, habitat and all the different species that we could find around the world, but of course we will be focusing on bats from our beautiful British Columbia.

  • The rest of the workshop is where the fun begins. We will assemble our own bat house, which you could take home if you've got a good bat friendly spot, if not, you can have your bat installed by our bat experts.

While we will be providing tools for the event, we also encourage our participants to bring their own. Here is a list of items that will come handy:

  • Paint brushes

  • Tar paper

  • Staple gun

  • Power drill
